John Legend Guest Hosted 'Ellen,' So Chrissy Teigen Scared Him
John Legend, aka People's new "Sexiest Man Alive," took over for Ellen DeGeneres as the host of her talk show on Friday (Nov. 15), and to ease him into the gig, his wife Chrissy Teigen had a hilarious prank in store.
“I’m still, believe it or not, the Sexiest Man Alive,” Legend told the crowd. “Is it me or did I even get sexier during the break? I don’t know. Anyway, I want to thank the audience for singing ‘All of Me.’ I wrote that song about my wife, Chrissy, and she was in the music video.”
“Here’s an interesting fact, though," he continued. "The record company originally wanted someone else to be my love interest in the video.” A clip then rolls of the “All of Me” music video, with DeGeneres in a wig and costume hanging around the clip's mansion.
“Don’t tell Chrissy guys, she’d be very jealous of Ellen,” Legend said, and his wife popped out of the end table screaming, “What are you f—ing doing?"
The crooner then lifted her out of the end table, and she sat down for a chat. Teigen asked if
Legend could hear her “banging around the box.” When he said he didn't, she insisted that “he’s unaware of anything around him.”
“We get in fights on the airplane and stuff, he’ll hit people with his bag and I’ll be like, ‘apologize!’” she continued.
“If you wanted to cheat on me, you could probably get away with it,” Legend joked, before Teigen clapped back, “Oh no, I have a million times."
