Mac Miller's Mom Calls Out Unauthorized Biography, Asks Friends Not to Participate
More than a year after the rapper's tragic death, Mac Miller's mother, Karen Meyers, took to Instagram on Friday (Oct. 18) to warn her followers about an unauthorized biography in the works.
"To artists, management & friends: there is a writer doing a Mac Miller biography that some of you have been approached about or will be," the post reads. "This book is not authorized/approved by Mac's family or Estate. We are not participating and prefer you don't either if you personally knew Malcolm."
Meyers did not reveal any more information about the writer or the bio. Back in June, a documentary on Miller was halted by his estate. "We heard back from @christianclancy & The Estate who said the family has requested we hold off on the project at this time," filmmaker C.J. Wallis tweeted Tuesday (June 4). "We immediately complied as the last thing we'd want is to negatively impact anyone involved, quite the opposite."
