Denzel Curry Returns to the Top 10 of the Emerging Artists Chart

Last month, Carol City native Denzel Curry unleashed his new album Zuu, which pays homage to his Florida hometown. Zuu boasts a bevy of earworms, including his trap-heavy track "BIRDZ," featuring Rick Ross, and "RICKY," his endearing ode to his father. The latter certainly has caught the attention of both ardent supporters of and newcomers to Curry, as the visual sits at 10 million views on YouTube.

Because of the success of Zuu, Curry zooms from No. 41 to No. 9 on the Emerging Artists chart this week; meanwhile, the rising multi-hyphenate is currently on the road on Billie Ellish's When We All Fall Asleep Tour.

Shordie Shordie Makes His Debut on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart

This week, Baltimore's Shordie Shordie finds a home on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart with his brazen single "Bitchuary (Betchua)." Debuting at No. 48, "Bitchuary" stands at 19 million on YouTube and targets women who dog their respective partners with callous disregard. Though he hails from the DMV, Shordie's melodic delivery has shades of 03 Greedo, the mercurial star who won fans over last year with his raw, unfiltered style.

"I get compared Greedo a lot," Shordie told XXL last May. "I met him over IG. He's a cool n---a. We talk different; we don't sound like each other. But its a similarity because we harmonize and shit like that. But I'm from the Northeast; he's from Watts, L.A. It's two different coasts, two different stories. We sound kinda similar, but me and him both know that we don't sound like each other."
