The Live Music Building Boom In New and Renewed Venues

By Billboard

Last night (May 4), the Tribeca Film Festival reunited the cast of Reality Bites at a special 25th anniversary screening of the Gen X classic, and after the movie, Lisa Loeb surprised the audience by walking out to perform "Stay (I Missed You)."

The song, which closes the film, was a breakthrough moment for Loeb; at the time it was selected to appear on the Reality Bites soundtrack, she was a member of Ethan Hawke's theater company, and when "Stay (I Missed You)" eventually climbed to No. 1, it made her the first unsigned artist to ever top the charts.

Hawke also directed the music video for "Stay (I Missed You)" in 1994.

Check out Loeb's surprise performance below.
