Everything goes better with Adele.

The proof was right there when Savannah Brister and Maelyn Jarmon tackled an Adele classic for Monday night’s opening Battle round of NBC's The Voice.

The Team Legend contestants showed off their range with a tender cover of “When We Were Young,” lifted from Adele’s all-conquering 25.

Afterwards, judge Blake Shelton enthused about Jarmon hitting the bar, again, and lauded Brister’s “incredible” performance. John Legendsaid they were “excellent across the board.”
