Jennifer Lopez Drops Powerful Music Video For 'Limitless' From 'Second Act': Watch

By Billboard

International concerts dominate the Hot Tours recap dated March 23, 2019, with Maroon 5 (No. 5), Post Malone (No. 7), and Twenty One Pilots (No. 8) all impacting this week’s list.

According to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore, Maroon 5 grossed $3.5 million on Feb. 27 at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, South Korea, plus a combined $3.9 million from three Australian dates. The South Korean date and Feb. 21 show at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena notch the band’s 19th and 20th career top 10 appearances on the boxscore chart.

Maroon 5’s touring history in both Asia and Australia is impressive, but their February 2019 shows are even more notable. Their four international dates covered on the chart all mark significant increases from their previous performances in each market. Having last toured Australia in 2015, they are up 19% in Brisbane, 24% in Sydney, and 27% in Melbourne. Their South Korean showing represents a 208% bump from the Sept. 10, 2015 show at the Daegu Baseball Stadium, a venue roughly one third the size of Gocheok Sky Dome.

As opposed to Maroon 5’s extensive international history, Post Malone is hitting home runs on his first trip across the pond. From six new reports, Post grossed $6.8 million from shows in Paris, Amsterdam, Hamburg, and three dates in England. The Paris, Amsterdam and Hamburg markets (where English is not the primary language spoken) highlight hip hop’s growing global appeal, with Post’s $1.9 million intake in Amsterdam a shining example. Across 29 North American shows in 2018, he averaged $844,000 per night. On his first six European reports, he is pacing $1.13 million per show, proving American rap has long legs beyond its home base.
