A polka-dotted-clad Mandy Moore paid a visit to Monday night’s (March 18) Jimmy Kimmel Live! to talk about her intimate wedding to Dawes’ frontman Taylor Goldsmith, her love of Netflix’s Queer Eye cast and getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The “Candy” singer/actress began by thanking host Kimmel for helping her meet Karamo Brown from Queer Eye during an episode in which he was a guest at the same time her husband’s band appeared on the show as musical guests. “I practically attacked him [Brown] backstage and forced him to take a picture with me and become friends,” Moore said with a big smile.

Kimmel then asked if Brown was invited to her wedding last November to long-time boyfriend Goldsmith. “We got married at our house in our backyard with 40 people there,” she explained, adding, sadly, that Brown did not make the cut. “So it was a very intimate ceremony, just friends and family.”

She said the couple covered their pool so guests could sit on it, and “that was as fancy as we got.” The This is Us star also revealed that the musical couple performed a duet for the intimate gathering. “We did a Kris Kristofferson and Rita Coolidge duet, ‘The Things I Might Have Been, it was really beautiful and mellow and it was the perfect way to cap off the evening.”

Moore then talked about her excitement about getting a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on March 25. She mentioned that This Is Us producer Dan Fogelman will speak during the ceremony, saying, “I’m psyched to hear what he has to say, I mean he’s given me my life, he’s the reason I’m getting a star on the Walk of Fame.”
