Deezer Hires Laurence Miall-d'Août as Chief Commercial Officer
Paris-based music streaming service has appointed Laurence Miall-d’Août as chief commercial officer, tasked with leading the company's B2B activities around the globe. When she officially joins as CCO on April 2, Miall-d’Août's tasks will include forming local and global partnerships, as well as managing advertising sales and public relations at the service, which ended 2018 with seven million paid users and twice as many monthly active users.
"Laurence brings a wealth of commercial experience and a long track record in ad monetization, partnership strategies and business growth," said Deezer CEO Hans-Holger Albrecht. "I'm excited to welcome her to our senior management team and look forward to working with her to accelerate our growth across the world.'"
Miall-d’Août arrives at Deezer following a three-year tenure as vp of advanced data and advertising at cable giant Liberty Global. Prior to that she was the CEO at TVbeat, a total audience marketing start-up, and she spent over 10 years in various executive roles at Modern Times Group.
"I have been a Deezer user for the last 4 years and love the product," commented Miall-d’Août. "It's a great time to join the company. Music streaming is already the most popular way to consume music and this is only going to continue to grow. We have lots of opportunities ahead of us and I look forward to being part of that journey together with the rest of Deezer’s team."
