Lily Allen Calls For a 'Musician's Union' Amid Taylor Swift/Scooter Braun Dispute

Normani made "Waves" in the industry back in November with the release of her harmonious 6LACK-assisted collab. The Fifth Harmony singer looks to continue paving her own path to stardom in 2019. Ahead of her full-length solo debut, Normani travels back from outer space to unleash her stellar "Waves" visual on Tuesday (Feb. 12).

Normani wakes up in a daze next to a Beats Pill speaker on the sand of another planet in the visual, which was directed by Emil Nava (Jennifer Lopez, Eminem). She then floats through the galaxy, breaking out a series of choreographed dance moves, which are amplified thanks to some trippy special effects implemented by Nava.

6LACK injects himself into the flick shortly after the two-minute mark, as the crooner attempts to get close and romanticize his fellow ATL-born rising star. The duo get lost in the sultry moment, fading away while staring into the stars in bed laying next to one another.

Normani previously detailed what stood out about her moody collaboration with 6LACK to Billboard. "I really do try my best in terms of being in the studio to be as honest as I can be as an artist," she said. "That's my only job at the end of the day, and I feel like that's what I did with this record because it doesn't get old. I play it over and over again, which sometimes I get annoyed with – hearing my own voice that many times."
