By Billboard

On Monday (Feb. 11), Avril Lavigne revealed the cover art for her third single from her upcoming Head Above Water album. The song, titled “Dumb Blonde,” features Nicki Minaj and is set to drop Tuesday.

Along with the artwork, which features a close-up of the “Complicated” singer’s mouth with a pink lollipop, Lavigne tweeted what is likely one of the new song’s lyrics.

“‘I am a fucking cherry bomb’ #DumbBlonde ft. @NICKIMINAJ. Tomorrow,” the tweet reads.

For her part, Minaj responded to the announcement with a lengthy tweet about her surprising history as a fan of Avril’s music.

"I used to drive to my job [at] Red Lobster playing this woman’s album for an hour straight everyday for months," Minaj tweeted. "Crying to "I’m with you”, blasting “complicated” “things I’ll never say” “nobody’s fool” “sk8er boi”. omg. #DumbBlonde tmrw. This woman is so unbelievably talented.”

“Dumb Blonde” will follow the release of title track “Head Above Water” and “Tell Me It’s Over” as the third release from Lavigne’s forthcoming sixth studio album -- her first since being diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2014.

Check out the cover art, as well as the pair of announcements, below. Head Above Water will be released Friday on BMG Records.
