Mariah Carey FaceTimes With Fan Who Used Her Music in Viral Christmas Display
Last week, a Christmas display in Orangevale, California featuring Mariah Carey Christmas videos on a projection screen caught the attention of Twitter users and the Queen of Christmas herself, and as CBS13 reports, Carey was able to connect with the family behind the decorations on Sunday (Dec. 23) night.
Carey FaceTimed with Jason Evart, the fan responsible for the display, and his mother from her vacation in Aspen -- at one point tossing a fistful of snow into the air for the California family.
"You guys are so festive, and I don't believe it, so I had to call and tell you Merry Christmas," she said. "Thank you for making me a part of your Christmas and you being a part of mine."
The local news channel also reported that the display has become so popular that when Evart tried to play a Charlie Brown Christmas video, people in the street started yelling "Play Mariah!" He now exclusively plays Mariah Carey videos on a loop.
Check out video of the display, as well as footage of Carey's call with Evart, below.
