Neil Young Takes Serious Issue With Sponsor of Hyde Park Gig with Bob Dylan

Today, (Dec. 6), MTV promoted Terron Moore to vice president and editorial director of MTV News Digital. Moore joined MTV in 2017 as senior director of social media. Prior to joining MTV, Moore was director of social media at Teen Vogue where he helped transform the brand into a leading voice for young people in activism and social impact.

In his new role, Moore will build an editorial team. He plans to develop multi-platform original series and written editorial content, with a focus on social and political issues and cultural trends impacting young people.

"MTV News has a longstanding legacy of being at the forefront of youth culture," Moore tells Billboard. “And now more than ever, those young voices matter. My personal passion has always been giving emerging talent a platform to tell their stories. Pairing that with our decades of pop culture history, I'm so excited to work alongside Sarah to uphold our legacy and expand our digital efforts."

Moore has enlisted Michael Arceneaux and Lauren Duca as editorial contributors. Arceneaux is the author of the 2018 New York Times bestseller I Can’t Date Jesus: Love, Sex, Family, Race and Other Reasons I’ve Put My Faith in Beyoncé and has written for publications ranging from The New York Times to Complex. Duca most recently served as political columnist at Teen Vogue, where she has emerged as a powerful feminist voice.

Moore will report to Sarah DeFilippis, vice president of marketing and digital at MTV, VH1 and Logo.
