Abraham Mateo, Jennifer Lopez and Yandel take over YouTube
Abraham Mateo, Jennifer Lopez and Yandel have exceeded 29 million views with their video “Se Acabo el Amor” on YouTube in only three weeks. The clip was made by Daniel Duran, and although inspired by a traditional Spanish setting, it was shot at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.
Fonseca awarded with a diamond album
Colombian singer-songwriter Fonseca received a Diamond Disc from Sony Music Latin at the Sony Music Convention in Mexico in honor of more than 400 million audio and video streams worldwide of Conexion and Ilusion. The singer received the plaque from Afo Verde, Sony Music Entertainment chairman & CEO Latin America, Spain & Portugal, and Nir Seroussi, president, Sony Music US Latin.
J Balvin performs at Telemundo Upfront
In conjunction with NBCUniversal’s Upfront presentation, the Spanish-language network Telemundo held an exclusive event for advertising clients and business partners at The Park Avenue Armory Conservancy in New York City featuring an exclusive concert with Billboard Latin Music Award-winning superstar J Balvin.
Bronco adds more dates
The regional Mexican touring season is expanding with more dates for some of the genre's biggest names, with shows in the U.S. and Mexico. For the venerable Bronco, more than 130 tour dates were delivered in 2017 thanks to an enthusiastic fanbase that wants more. As a result, another U.S. leg of the tour begins on May 19 in Wichita Falls, Texas. But first, get acquainted with Bronco in a documentary that tells all. Watch here:
El Fantasma to perform at Staples Center
The headlining El Fantasma arrives to Staples Center on June 15 along with Voz De Mando, El Potro de Sinaloa and Kanales, with several more shows added in cities such as Chicago, Fresno and Milwaukee, confirms a spokesperson for CMN, the largest producer of Latin music concerts and events in the U.S. The tour, which started last year, continues growing.
